Can I refer my own team or my manager?
Yes, and you do not need to apply. Get your link from your dashboard and send it to whoever pays for tools. When they create their own Flash account through it and buy a plan, you earn 20% of every payment for as long as the team stays. One catch: the person paying needs a new account of their own. Upgrading your own account is not a referral.
Is it fine to earn on my own company's plan?
Our terms allow it. Some companies have rules about referral fees from vendors, so if yours does, check it first. Telling your manager the link is yours is the simple way to keep it clean.
What is the difference between the three?
The commission is the same on all three. A Team Link is for anyone with a Flash account who wants their team or a friend on it, and needs no application. Referral Partners share Flash with an audience. Solutions Partners build and run design systems for clients on Flash, so they also get priority support during rollouts, early access to new exports and MCP features, and co-marketing with us.
Do I need a Flash account to apply?
No. Apply with your email. When you create or sign in to a Flash account with that address, the partner dashboard is already yours.
Who gets approved?
For a Team Link, nobody needs approving: any Flash account gets one. For the Referral and Solutions tracks, we look for a real audience of designers, front-end developers or product teams, and a concrete idea of how you would introduce Flash. Size matters less than fit: a 400-person Discord of design engineers beats a 50k general-tech list.
When do I actually see money?
A referred customer pays on the 3rd. That commission clears on the 2nd of the next month. On the first payout run after that, if your cleared total is $50 or more, it goes out by the method on your profile: PayPal, Wise, Payoneer, Revolut or bank transfer. You can watch every step on your dashboard.
Someone I referred already had an account. Do I earn on them?
No. The programme pays for new customers, and an existing account is not one, even if your link is what convinced them to upgrade. So if your manager already has a Flash account, their team plan will not count. It keeps the numbers honest for everyone.
What happens on a refund?
The commission on that payment is reversed. If it was still on hold, it never pays out. If it had already been paid, the amount is deducted from your next payout.
Do yearly plans pay differently?
You earn 20% of the yearly charge when it is paid, so a yearly Pro seat at $144 earns $28.80 up front, and again on each renewal.
Is this taxable?
Almost certainly, in your country. We pay the gross amount and do not withhold unless the law requires it; declaring it is on you. We may ask for a tax form before the first payout.
